Year 10 Cafe Foods

The Year 10 Cafe Foods classes have been busy baking and decorating cupcakes for their Cupcake Design Challenge task.  After spending the last couple of weeks researching, planning and trialing the cupcakes, each student had the opportunity to show off their creativity and skill with icing.  This challenge saw many students bring in wonderful decorations, some even hand-made, to incorporate and enhance their designs into a stunning overall result.  For many of the students, this was the first time they had ‘piped’ icing and decorated cakes.  The students did an incredible job and more importantly, ‘had a go’!

On Wednesday 18 September, all students thoroughly impressed our guest judges, which made for a very difficult voting process in choosing a favourite.  Cupcakes were judged on creativity and presentation.  The creations were judged by the Principal Mrs Maitland, Associate Principals, Ms Smith and Ms Curtis, and HoLA Technologies, Mrs Middleton.

The following students from Ms Jones’s Year 10 Cafe Foods class assisted by Miss Fisher created some amazing cupcakes.
