National Summer Art Scholarship – Torren Whisson

Congratulations to our Gifted and Talented Visual Art student, Torren Whisson of Year 11 on being a recipient of the National Summer Art Scholarship for 2019.  Torren was one of sixteen students from around the nation, two from each state and territory, to participate in the National Summer Art Scholarship in January 2019 in Canberra.

The scholarship program is a unique opportunity to engage with the staff at the National Gallery of Australia, as well as other arts professionals, artists and your peers from around the nation.

• Discover the national art collection and learn how works of art are acquired and exhibitions developed.
• Go behind the scenes to experience the workings of the Gallery.
• Participate in workshops with Gallery staff and professional artists.
