Each year, Balcatta Senior High School builds on expanding the range of qualifications we have to offer our students.
Design and Technologies
The Design and Technologies Department may be more familiar to parents as ‘Manual Arts’. We offer Metalwork, Woodwork, Plastics, Jewellery, and Building and Construction.
Students may choose to take courses in this area in Years 11 and 12 to count towards achievement of WACE by the end of Year 12.
While there are no perquisites for the Year 11 and 12 courses, students are advised to choose a Design and Technologies pathway in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10, as each course builds on the skills taught in previous years.

We offer courses in Year 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. In Year 11 and 12 we offer both a WACE pathway as well as a vocational education and training pathway.
