WA Secondary Schools’ Choral Festival 2019

4 September 2019

Voice teacher Bronwynn Sprogowski accompanied 11 of our vocal students to the WA Government Schools’ Choral Festival at Churchlands SHS on Sunday 18 August.

The aim of the festival was:

• to provide a choral performance opportunity for all secondary students
• to give choirs an opportunity to hear others perform
• to provide each choir with constructive comments from informed adjudicators.

Each participating choir was presented a program of up to two songs with a performing time of up to 10 minutes and received an adjudication consisting of written comments and a certificate indicating its level of performance.

A HUGE well done to all our choir members that attended and to Bronwynn for her great work:

Year 7 – Gabi Brazer, Kya Cross, Hayley Gillies, Hannah Sharma, Pooja Sharma

Year 8 – Mali Frazer, Lale Shahin

Year 9 – Reese Abastillas, Zoë Thatcher, Sabrina Tengku

Year 10 – Tina Li

Our choir received an ‘Excellent’ ranking overall which is fantastic! They also received an ‘Outstanding’ ranking for Response to Director in the feedback.

They have commenced rehearsals for the Passion Project which will be held at UWA on Thursday 19 September.
