Opti-MINDS State Finals

The Opti-MINDS state finals was held on Saturday 21 September. One of our amazing Year 9 Opti-MINDS teams was lucky to be invited as only three teams in their division were selected to participate.

Students had 3 hours to design a device that could lift 10 full tin cans using newspaper, sticky tape, skewers and string. They also had to make up a story related to the task and perform it in front of an audience. Our team managed to lift all 10 cans and put on an engaging and funny performance.

Our team performed amazingly, they didn’t take out first place but they made our school proud.
