Our school was one of 50 schools invited to exhibit at the Education Department Innovations Showcase, that was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November. We were invited to showcase our Innovations in Education project – a project based learning concept to increase engagement amount to students and to address Global Competencies including: character, collaboration, creativity, citizenship, communication, and critical thinking.
Some of our school based initiatives involving project based learning that were showcased included: Science Fair, Electronics Club, Earthquake-proof Building Challenge, Health Expo, Cyber Safety Video Infomercial, and World War I Cross-curricular Project.
