Design & Technology and HASS Project

The Year 8 Design & Technology and HASS classes have participated in a cross-curriculum project.

The outcome of the project is to show how we unite by linking our students country of birth to Balcatta SHS in Australia.

Firstly our students made a large frame and attached it to a wall outside A Block. Then they traced the Pacific Ocean view of the world within the frame.

Students traced a pattern from a picture of their country of birth and a side view profile of their face. They traced the patterns onto plywood, cut and painted in their choice of colour.  These were nailed onto the frame and each were linked with nylon thread to Australia.

As you can see, we have a selected students from many cultures attending our school. We are very proud to be part of a diverse multi-cultural school community.
