Orientation Day for Local Primary Schools

On Wednesday 27 November, Year 6 students entering Balcatta Senior High School as Year 7’s in 2020 were invited to attend an Orientation Day.  With assistance from our Student Councillors, the students were split into groups and taken on a guided tour of the school followed by a quiz.

Four groups of students were then taken to their first class.  The classes comprised of Music with Mr Daniel Rees, Home Economics with Ms Sharon Holmes, Science with Ms Linda Henry and Mrs Kristina Hoy, Mathematics with Mrs Vig, Mr James Cutler and Mr Ehsan Warasi, and Design & Technology with Mr Hal Schmiedte.  After lunch, the students headed to the gym for a Physical Education lesson and then a dance performance by our dance students.

We wish them well in their transition to high school.
