The Lester Prize Award Evening

Last night Mrs Maitland, Ms Arkeveld and two of our Gifted and Talented Visual Art students, Melina Hosseinzadeh of Year 10 and Torren Whisson of Year 12 attended ‘The Lester Prize For Portraiture’ awards evening.

Balcatta Senior High School was awarded the First Prize in the High School Category, Years 10-12.  The prize was a workshop with an Alumni adult artist facilitator who will come to our school to work with our students.

Congratulations to Melina and Torren for being selected finalists in ‘The Lester Prize For Portraiture’ exhibition and to Ms Arkeveld, Sherree Tomlinson and our art tutors.
