Gifted and Talented Visual Art Exhibition

On Tuesday 29 October Balcatta SHS held its annual Gifted and Talented Visual Art Exhibition.

There were a very large number of parents, families, friends, students, and staff in attendance.  They were entertained by our music students and wearable art fashion parade.

Thanks to the Home Economics staff and the Year 11 Hospitality students who provided first quality food and catering.

Thanks go to Jamie Arkeveld, Sherree Tomlinson and Michelle Murning for all their hard work and hours they spent putting the exhibition together.  Thanks to the many other staff members who also assisted in this great community event.

The students’ artwork is of a very high quality and looks amazing.

Our patron, Professor Ted Snell and WA artist, Simon Gilby attended the event, both acknowledging the high quality of our Gifted & Talented Visual Arts Program and the relevance of art.

Simon Gilby has been commissioned for the ‘% for Art Project’ as part of the new build.
